About
Amber James graduated in 2009 from University of The Arts, Camberwell College with a BA in Graphic Design.
After studying the fundamentals of visual communication and traditional screen printing techniques she decided to combine her passions and set up a Textile Design label called BAM.
She produced several collections and exhibited at many events as well as working freelance for other Fashion designers.
In 2013 she founded The Pattern Guild with fellow designer Fergus McDonnell to combine their shared taste for beautiful geometric patterns and high quality products.
Since then they have produced a successful range of products featured in The Guardian, The Telegraph and Marie Claire, sold in prestigious shops such as The Royal Academy, The Southbank Centre, Isetan Department Store in Japan, Institute of Contemporary Arts, and YCN.
